The Main Characters

One man told me a very important and deep story that has helped me to change the direction of my thoughts. The idea is that one of his acquaintances was about to die, but God definitely made it clear that she would be healed. And this man, like any of us, believed God and was confident that the healing will pass away. But in a very short time the woman died, and he was in shock. He had not expected such turn of events! And when he was angry at his disappointment, God said to him, "Why do you think that I have not healed her?" At this point, a man realized that his friend was healed in Heaven.

      The fact is that before her death God showed how much pain was in the life of the woman, and of course the man realized that God will heal her completely. It is so interesting that we properly hear and understand God, but do not always understand what He is going to do. God has kept His word, He healed her completely and she is now happy with Him in Heaven.

     When hearing this story, I realized that many times we do not look at the main character. The main character of the story was healing. But due to the fact that in the end death came, for some reason we have moved our look at it as if it was the main character throughout the story, but it is a lie.

    I had a similar situation in meaning. I once experienced a very strong belief in deep in myself. I do not know whether it would be correct to call it a sense of  faith. It was just as you approach the mirror. How much faith do you need to go to the mirror and see yourself there? Not at all! You just know it is for sure that you will see yourself - it's a fact. Nearly the same feeling I've had for a particular event. And when the event didn’t happen, I felt a very strong disappointment. What would you have experienced, if one day looking in the mirror you would not see your face? Shock! How is this possible? So I just thought it was very bad!

When this man told me his story, I realized that I do not look at the right character. The main character of my story is  Faith, not disappointment.

    God is the head writer and director of our lives. He wrote the plot for us, which introduces us to Himself, His essence. Yes, sometimes our stories do not end well, as we would like, but Dad knows best how to finish the story so that we would remember it forever.

    Remember  the movie "Titanic"? What is this movie about? About the ship? Because of the title of the film. About the tragedy? Because in the end there is a lot of death, tears and suffering. Is this just historical documentary film? Maybe this is a film about love? How a girl from high society loved simple guy and was with him truly happy. The main heroine of this film is not the ship, not a tragedy, not a story, but Love!

    Our brains are used to focus their attention on the end of the story but it is not right. If you look at how life of many believers ended it will not make sense. There are a lot of deaths, suffering, frustration and pain in life. But are they the main characters of our lives? No! The main characters are love, healing, faith, forgiveness, repentance, hope ... This is the essence of God, and He will always introduce Himself to us and I want to look at Him, and not  at the person who wants to be like Him!

    If I were a writer of "Titanic", I would have left Jack alive, married Rosa to him, and let them be together. But perhaps if the "Titanic" was ended in such a way, because I want to, then it would not have become so popular. Writer knew how  to finish the story with the maximum effect. To my regret, the death divided the loving couple, but  Rose and Jack learned what love is. Yes, they are not together, but they tasted what many do not dare. And I am confident that this taste changed them forever.

   

  In my life God always uses the coolest actors that help me to see the essence, but not always these actors remain in my life. They sometimes go to another script, and I miss them. But I gave my life to God, and He knows the best way. Perhaps if they were around, I would not be able to appreciate the significance of them in my life. As someone once said: "The main thing must always remain the principal one». I am a student in each stage of my life and learn to see the Writer, Director and Producer in every situation. Acquainted with the main characters I live with them to the end of the script. Actors change, but the main characters remain! Everything changes, but God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I love God!
