Question: «From where they have come - these 5 loaves and 2 fish?»
In the Bible the story is described in all 4 messages of the disciples of Jesus, but only in the last, in John, you can find the answer to the question. The bread and the fish belonged to the boy, of whom nobody knows anything. But everybody knows the miracle that Jesus did with the bread and the fish.
It seems to me that this story is much deeper than we are used to seeing. If you read this story, especially in John 6, you can see that Jesus knew about this boy. Jesus saw the little that he had, and He was going to multiply a small and make a miracle, which will speak for centuries!
This boy is special, because Jesus wrote with him His secret history. No one knows who was the boy. What is his name? Where did he come from? Who were his parents? Why did he neede 5 loaves of bread and only 2 fish? Who is this boy, whom He saw in the crowd? No one paid any attention. But that is the charm of this story that the Bible is not a book about miracles, not about business, not a story about people and the Bible is not a book of stories about the past and the future. The Bible is a book about God! About His character, soul, heart and His essence.
And this story reveals that with God you can write the secret history. The stories, which know only you and He. I often feel like this boy. I am honest to myself and to God and I know that I don't have much to satisfy all. All that I have, this seems to be a bit of bread and even less meat. But for God, it is not a problem.
And yet the amazing thing is that this boy was not even seen in the number of people who were there. Because it is written that there were 5 000 - only the men. And I thought how it looks like in reality: you`re ignored, any attention is paid to you, as if you are an empty place. They use you and forget, even your name will not be asked but Jesus Himself sent them to you. But it is even better, because it is your secret history with Him.
In fact writing secret story with Jesus is a lot cooler than engaging in self-promotion. There are many stories in my life that we have had together, and only He knows who I am.
Somehow I was lucky to hear about the secret story of Jake Hamilton - he is a musician and singer. He told me that he has a lot of unwritten songs that he sings to God. These songs may never become popular, but the Heavenly Father remembers his every song. Jake turned on the tape recorder and showed us a couple of his secret hits. It was something! I laughed so much! I saw an adult, a tough guy with tattoos, in a cap who turns into a little boy and is singing so out of tune! And next to him was God the Father, and He was so happy, He could not take his eyes from His boy!
Our secret story - that's what brings in our life real intimacy with the Lord! And it is not important whether they know you or not, remember you or are not even aware of your existence; it is not important, whether songs, poems and pictures will be known. The most important thing that the Lord knows all and sees all and it is our secret history with Him.
