Don't Sell Yourself Cheap!

Everyone of us has his own price. I don’t mean the price of a personality, but the price of relationship. Everyone of us has to pay the price to have this or that relationship. The price is always different: acceptance, respect, constancy, loyalty, obedience, freedom, the right for a mistake, respect.

Last year there was a special day: 11/11/11. It happens once in a hundred years. Number 11 means revelation, I didn’t know it, but that day in the morning God gave me a very encouraging revelation, which helps until this day.

At that period I was at the conference in Cherkassy and in the first day there the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the fans that stood on the stage. I looked at them and thought that they were really very beautiful, I definitely liked them.

Next morning I thought about relationships between people and God reminded me about the fans. At first I didn’t understand, but He continued to speak.

He asked me:

How much do they cost?

I don`t know, maybe they`re expensive.

Would you buy one for yourself?

No!

Why?

Because it`s expensive.

If you had enough money, would you buy it?

No! What will I do with it? It is too large for my small apartment, it`s place is here, on the stage. If I put it in my flat it will take off the wall. It`s place is here on the stage, to serve those who serve God.

Then God showed me that the fan is me and the person with whom I want relationships is a buyer. There can’t be relationship between us because he doesn’t want to pay the price I demand. I was said, and started to say to God that I’m ready to him a great discount, but He just shrugged His shoulders and said: “Don't Sell Yourself Cheap! You’re not the good with a discount!” I tried to persuade Him that it was my price and I had the right to make it lower. It would have been hard for me, but I was ready to make it lower, because the person is really very good. But again He reminded me of the fan and I understood that He was right.

The thing is not even in the price itself, the price is just an excuse, apparent justification. In reality people don`t want to pay the price for the relationship because they don`t know why do they need them. The thing is not in the price of the fan but in it`s calling, in something, for what it was created. And every good has it`s buyer. I worked in the trade sphere, I know that it`s true! Is it good for the fan to be bought and taken in the garage to gather dust? Does such a purchase make sense? It will be no good for the buyer, as well as for the good itself.

Then I realized that when God created me He made me perfect for the perfect price. There will definitely be someone who’ll be ready to pay the price for me because he’s been looking especially for the person like me. Even if he can’t pay the full price Daddy will help him, because the sense is in the necessity, not in the price.

I remember my student years when there wasn’t enough money but God always gave me everything I needed. That’s why do not hold the people who are not ready to pay the price for relationship with you. And don`t be afraid to hurt those, who have a high price. Trust God in everything – if you see that the relationships are too expensive for you leave them or wait till better times. Be honest! Don`t buy useless things. At the same time do not sell yourself cheap, you’re of perfect quality and have perfect price!

God created everyone of us as worthy. He’s never mistaking in creation, He’s unable to create useless goods. His hands always create masterpieces! Perhaps you are the good not for public use and not the good of the first necessity, and therefore you are still lying on the shelf and expect for your person - this is normal. It is better to be with none, than with anyone! If you exist, so there is that to which you were called! And there is someone who needs you! Just everything has its time and place.
And don't be afraid of the price! For you, perhaps, it is expensive, but there are people who will buy you! Don't sell yourself short!
